Genesis recalls 181 cars in China due to software bug

Genesis has announced a voluntary recall of 181 imported vehicles in China, including models G80, GV80, GV70, and the electric version of GV70, produced between January 25, 2023, and June 19, 2024, reported SpeedMe. The reason is a software glitch in the dashboard that may cause failures during startup and prevent the display of critical information such as speed and alerts, posing a safety risk.

As part of the recall, Genesis will provide a free software update to all affected vehicles. For those that have already received the update, no further action is needed.
