Used car prices have dropped in Uzbekistan, uz.kursiv.media reported. The Institute for Macroeconomic and Regional Studies under the Cabinet of Ministers released its market analysis for May 2025.
According to the analysis, prices for many vehicles declined compared to April. This trend may be linked to changing market conditions and consumer demand.
Local popular models such as Onix, Lacetti, Cobalt, Nexia, Spark, and Damas saw price reductions. For example, a frequently used Onix became cheaper by an average of $800 (approx. 10,050,000 UZS), and Damas dropped between $50 and $200 (650,000 – 2,600,000 UZS) depending on condition.
Luxury models like Equinox, Malibu, and Tracker also saw prices fall. Malibu dropped by about $1,450 (18,200,000 UZS) on average. However, in some cases, Equinox and Tracker prices slightly increased.
In the electric vehicle segment, trends were mixed. The BYD Song Plus EV Champion dropped $150 (1,900,000 UZS), while the BYD Han and Yuan Up increased by $400–$2,000 (5,200,000 – 26,000,000 UZS).
Among foreign cars, the biggest price drops were seen in the Kia Carnival ($3,500 — 45,500,000 UZS) and Sorento ($2,100 — 27,300,000 UZS). Some lightly used models like Elantra and Sorento actually saw slight price increases. The analysis is based on nearly 31,000 listings from the olx.uz platform. Read 'Zamin' on Telegram!
