In neighboring Kyrgyzstan, a major step is being taken in the automotive industry. According to the information, a modern plant specializing in the assembly of Lada cars will be launched in the country. This was reported by the publication “Vedomosti.”
The project will be implemented in cooperation with the well-known Russian automobile concern AvtoVAZ and the Central Asia Capital fund. According to the preliminary plans presented by both parties, the volume of investment will amount to about 30 million dollars. This is noted as one of the largest industrial initiatives in the economy of Kyrgyzstan.
It is stated that the project will be implemented in stages over 10 years. Its first stage covers the period from 2026 to 2030. At this time, the plant will establish a large-unit assembly process of cars with an annual capacity of up to 1.5 thousand vehicles.
The second stage will be carried out from 2031 to 2035. During this period, production volume will expand, and the range of models will increase. Thus, the enterprise will have the capacity to produce up to 5 thousand cars per year.
The third stage of the project is considered the most important. Because after 2035 the plant will move to a full production cycle. At the same time, the enterprise will reach the capacity of producing up to 7 thousand finished cars annually.
According to experts, this initiative will not only open a new page in the industry of Kyrgyzstan but may also give a strong impetus to the development of the automotive sector throughout the region. After all, the Lada brand has been in high demand in the Central Asian market for many years.
Therefore, the activity of this large plant in Kyrgyzstan is expected to have great significance both for the country’s economy and for job creation.
