It is expected that a number of amenities for the population will be introduced in the parking system in Tashkent. Special benefits based on residency will be provided to residents of apartment buildings on streets where paid parking has been organized in the capital. This was reported by the press service of the city administration.
According to the new procedure, citizens with a residency permit will have the right to use parking spaces in their neighborhood from evening until morning on preferential terms. During the daytime hours, certain discounts are provided, and on holidays and weekends, opportunities are offered in a wider way.
Currently, integration with the Single Portal of Interactive Public Services is being carried out to simplify the process of obtaining permits. The project is scheduled to be completed by November of this year.
Upon completion of this work, the relevant decision of the city khokim will be adopted, which will clearly define the procedure for issuing a permit, its validity period, the categories of citizens who may have this right, and the list of benefits provided.
"At the time of adoption of the decision, its content will be published in the prescribed manner for familiarization with it by all fellow citizens," the khokimiyat said in a statement.
For information, in accordance with the previously adopted decision, paid parking tariffs were approved in the capital. A total of 5 zones have been designated, where prices vary depending on the level of demand. For example, the first zone includes central areas with a high need for intensive movement and stops. Here it is paid 12,000 soums per hour. In the fifth zone, which covers the most remote and sparsely populated areas, the price is set at 5,000 soums.
