Uzbekistan introduced a new permit procedure for international freight and passenger transportation
By Resolution No. 114 of March 25, the government of Uzbekistan approved the "Procedure for Issuing, Exchanging, and Using Permits for International Carriage of Goods and Passengers by Road."
In accordance with the new regulation, the procedure for issuing, exchanging, and using permits for international transportation has been clearly defined. This procedure applies equally to national and foreign carriers.
The types of transportation and the conditions for their use are also indicated separately in the permits. Permits are divided into several main categories: two-way freight transportation, transit freight transportation, as well as special permits for the transportation of goods to or from a third country. Universal permits allow carrying out several types of transportation simultaneously.
Passenger transportation permits are also classified separately and are intended for the carriage of irregular passengers on two-way and transit routes. At the same time, regular international passenger transportation is organized only on the basis of agreements between states, and this process is coordinated by authorized bodies.
The new procedure will allow for the regulation of permits and the implementation of international road transport in a clear and fair manner.
