Each truck is equipped with a three-motor electric powertrain and supports fast charging, allowing for a 60% charge in just 30 minutes, with batteries produced on-site.

Tesla has announced that it has produced the first serial model of the Tesla Semi truck at its Gigafactory in Nevada. This means the project has moved to the mass production stage after several years of delays. Ixbt.com reports this.

The new production line has the capacity to assemble up to 50,000 trucks per year. The model is presented in two different versions.

The Standard Range version covers a distance of 523 kilometers and is priced at 260,000 dollars. The Long Range version travels up to 805 kilometers on a single charge and is valued at 290,000 dollars.

The truck is equipped with a three-motor electric power unit with a capacity of 800 kW. It supports 1.2 MW fast charging and is capable of gaining a 60 percent charge within 30 minutes.

The batteries are manufactured directly at the plant itself.
