Volkswagen Golf R 24H: The most extreme model in its history unveiled

Volkswagen has unveiled the most powerful and extreme Golf model in its history. Named the Golf R 24H, this vehicle is a track prototype specially prepared to participate in next year's races at the Nürburgring circuit. This is reported by Ixbt.com reports .

This project is being carried out in collaboration with the Max Kruse Racing team and is dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the R series, which began in 2002 with the Golf R32. The new model differs significantly from the standard Golf R: it is equipped with an aggressive aerodynamic body kit, a large front splitter, widened wheel arches, and a massive rear wing.

The car's technical specifications confirm its racing purpose. Hood vents and a side-exit exhaust system indicate an internal combustion engine with an enhanced cooling system. The rear window has been replaced by a special closed panel.

Although Volkswagen has presented this model as a show car for now, work is actively underway to create a full-fledged race car for the Nürburgring Nordschleife races. Company representatives call it the most impressive Golf R to date.

Although there is no official information yet regarding a production road version of this model, the possibility of a track-oriented civilian modification appearing in the future cannot be ruled out.
