Brembo introduces new Sensify brake system without hydraulics

The renowned company Brembo has announced the start of mass production for its new Sensify brake system. The company calls this technology the new standard for "intelligent braking." The system will first be used on a model from one of the world's leading automakers, although the brand name is currently being kept secret. This is reported by Ixbt.com .

The main innovation of the Sensify system is the abandonment of traditional hydraulics, which have been the foundation of automotive brakes for over a century. Instead, an electromechanical architecture has been introduced, where braking forces are controlled via electronic signals, actuators, and complex software algorithms. Conventional components such as brake discs and calipers are retained.

The new system allows for independent control of each wheel, a feature not available in classic systems. This solution improves braking quality on the road, ensures vehicle stability, and reduces the risk of skidding in turns. Additionally, since the system does not use brake fluid, the maintenance process is significantly simplified.

Brembo experts note that Sensify is capable of improving handling in various road conditions, even on uneven surfaces. In the future, this technology is planned to be installed in many car models, with annual production expected to reach hundreds of thousands of vehicles.
