Italian actress Claudia Cardinale died at the age of 87, Kursiv media reported.
Cardinale was born in Tunis in 1938 and played her first role alongside Omar Sharif in the 1958 film "Goha". Her name entered film history with roles in films such as "8½", "The Leopard", "Rocco and His Brothers", "The Pink Panther", "The Cardinal", "Once Upon a Time in the West".
During her long career, she received awards at the Berlinale and Venice Film Festival. One of her latest creative works was acting alongside Dakota Fanning in the 2014 film "Effie".
