
Rolling Stone magazine has announced its ranking of the best films of 2025. The top spot was claimed by the drama “Battle After Battle”. The film features renowned actors such as Leonardo DiCaprio, Sean Penn, Chase Infiniti, Benicio del Toro, and Teyana Taylor in leading roles. It masterfully depicts intense drama, emotions, and action scenes.
The second place was taken by the film “Hamnet”. The movie portrays the tragedy of William Shakespeare losing his son and other dramatic events in his life. The screenplay is based on the novel by Maggie O’Farrell, with Paul Mescal and Jessie Buckley starring in key roles.
The top three is rounded out by the detective film “Black Briefcase — Double Play”. Directed by Steven Soderbergh, the movie stars Cate Blanchett and Michael Fassbender in leading roles. The plot revolves around a married couple cast as spies at the center of the story.
The top ten also includes films such as “Dreams of Trains,” “New Wave,” “Simple Coincidence,” “The Method of Denial,” “Forgive Me,” “Impressive Marti,” and “Sentimental Value.”
The second ten includes films like “Peter Hujar’s Day,” “Eddington,” “Universal Language,” “Happiness for All,” “Orwell: 2+2=5,” “How to Become a Pheasant,” “The Phoenician Scheme,” “The Generation of Romantics,” “Frankenstein,” and “Weapons.”
