Singer Maftuna Kholmurodova openly spoke about her first earnings, creative journey, and income during an interview in the “Shokuz” project.
During the conversation, she was asked where her first income came from. The singer said it was from weddings:
“My first income came from weddings. At that time, I hadn’t even appeared on television yet. There were so many weddings that the back of the car would be filled with money. I could easily come and pay my contract. Back then, the money was really good,” she said.
According to Maftuna, before participating in the “Actor” project, she mainly worked at weddings. Later, due to an increase in filming, she reduced attending such events.
She also recalled that in the early stages of her career, she mostly performed in regions:
“I used to perform a lot in regions — Kashkadarya, Samarkand. Before the quarantine, there were many Navruz celebrations. Sometimes I would attend 2–3 events a day,” she said.
During the interview, she was also asked about her monthly income. Maftuna answered honestly:
“I don’t clearly remember how much I earned before. But now, if the weddings are good, I earn around 5000–6000 dollars a month. However, 80 percent of that goes back into my творчество,” she said.
