«A severe trial happened in my life»
Alisher Uzokov revealed that a month ago, during a trip abroad, he faced a serious health problem.
— Recently, a very severe trial occurred in my life. Almost no one knew about it. I was traveling, far from home. A serious health issue arose. I even had to sit in a wheelchair. I told almost no one about my condition. Yet a few close people somehow found out and checked on me.
«Every artist dreams of recognition»
The actor admitted that after many years of work, he expected to receive a state award. But during difficult days, the love and support of fans became the greatest reward for him.
— Until now, we are still within the art world. Honestly, I think every artist dreams of a reward. I have this desire too. Receiving recognition for one’s work is a great value for a true creator. I hope that in the future my work and efforts will be acknowledged by people. Until now, I waited very much for my award.
— A month ago, during a difficult trial, such a situation occurred: during a foreign trip, a fellow countryman approached me and asked how I was. He was from Samarkand. After seeing off his family, he focused only on me. He said that he had grown up watching my films and admired my work. At that moment, I thought: perhaps this is the most valuable reward. Recognition from fans is necessary too, said Alisher Uzokov.
«My mother never praised me»
— I dislike praise. That she never praised me is good. I even do not like receiving gifts. Praise often spoils a person. One should not lose oneself relying on praise.
«I accept criticism based on substance»
— If criticism is justified, I accept it. I have been in this field for a long time. One can distinguish which criticism is fair and which is not. Nowadays everyone has a microphone and a chance to express opinions. This cannot be stopped, but one can counter it.
«The only dream in life — to see my father»
— I grew up very fast due to fatherlessness. When my father passed away, I was 20 years old. I was traveling and could not see him off to his final resting place. Therefore, my only dream in life is to see him; I have no other wishes.
