Central Bank Sets Official Foreign Exchange Rates for April 17

The Central Bank of Uzbekistan has announced new foreign exchange rates effective April 17, 2026. All major currencies saw a decline against the national currency, with the US dollar dropping to 12,165.24 soums and the Euro falling to 14,330.65 soums. Other currencies, including the British pound, Russian ruble, and Chinese yuan, also experienced decreases in value. These updated rates will serve as the basis for bank operations and customs payments.
The Central Bank of the Republic of Uzbekistan has updated the official exchange rates for foreign currencies effective from April 17, 2026. According to the latest report, all major foreign currencies have decreased in value relative to the national currency.
The US Dollar exchange rate fell by 25,19 UZS, reaching 12 165,24 UZS. The Euro also saw a decline, decreasing by 32,11 UZS to 14 330,65 UZS. Furthermore, the British Pound Sterling dropped by 56,05 UZS, settling at 16 470,52 UZS.
Additionally, the Russian Ruble decreased by 2,67 UZS, totaling 159,42 UZS. Other currency rates include the Swiss Franc at 15 520,85 UZS (-73,92), the Chinese Yuan at 1 783,63 UZS (-3,43), and the Japanese Yen at 76,49 UZS (-0,23). These official rates are utilized for official financial reporting and customs calculations throughout the country.
