No longer need to wait 2 hours for a hepatitis C test

Russia has developed the world's first rapid hepatitis C virus test. This was reported by specialists of Rospotrebnadzor.

According to them, the main advantage of the new test is the ability to get the result very quickly. Previously, waiting for laboratory test results to detect the virus took one and a half to two hours, but now this process takes only 25-30 minutes.

Experts emphasize that this innovative method will facilitate medical practice, especially in the early detection and treatment of hepatitis C-related diseases.

Tested samples of the new test are planned to be introduced into practice in leading Russian medical centers.
