Scientists have achieved success in the treatment of type 1 diabetes

In the news, which is considered the biggest achievement in the field of healthcare in a hundred years, Vertex Pharmaceuticals specialists have developed revolutionary therapy that will allow them to practically overcome type 1 diabetes. This cellular method, called VX-880, is capable of restoring the body's ability to produce natural insulin.

The first patients who received therapy did not take insulin for two years. In total, in 10 out of 14 patients, the method was fully effective - blood sugar was stable, and the need for insulin was zero.

Scientists call this result a completely new era in the fight against diabetes. If extensive clinical trials yield such positive results, for millions of people in the world, the opportunity to get rid of type 1 diabetes may become a reality for the first time.
