Farmer in Yangibozor District Successfully Retains Land Plot ownership

A farmer in Uzbekistan’s Yangibozor district successfully retained his 65.6-hectare land lease after settling a debt of over 244.7 million soums. The Bureau of Compulsory Enforcement (MIB) had previously seized the property and listed it for auction to recover unpaid taxes and electricity bills. Facing the loss of the land, which was valued at 1.8 billion soums, the farm owner fully repaid the outstanding balance, leading to the termination of the enforcement proceedings. Authorities noted that the case highlights the importance of timely financial compliance to prevent the seizure and public sale of assets.
The Yangibozor district department of the Bureau of Mandatory Enforcement is carrying out systematic work to protect state interests and ensure the recovery of debts owed to enterprises.
In particular, significant debt was cleared as a result of enforcement actions carried out by state bailiff A. Qadirberganov.
According to enforcement documents from court and tax authorities, the "O.S." farm in the district had a total debt exceeding 244.7 million soums. This included 158.4 million soums in tax arrears owed to the state and 86.3 million soums owed to "Hududiy Elektr Tarmoqlari" JSC (Regional Electric Networks).
Due to the non-payment of debts on time, the state bailiff took decisive measures. The long-term lease rights to a total of 65.6 hectares of land belonging to the farm, located in the "Chopolonchi" massif of the Yangibozor district, were seized.
The normative value of this land plot was appraised by relevant experts at over 1.8 billion soums. In accordance with the execution of the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. PQ-131 dated March 28, 2025, the property was listed on the "E-AUKSION" electronic trading platform on April 15 of this year.
Fearing the loss of the land plot, the head of the farm fully settled all outstanding debts. Following the full payment of the arrears, the enforcement proceedings were officially concluded, and all restrictions placed on the land were lifted.
Timely fulfillment of the requirements of enforcement documents prevents the seizure of property and its sale through public auctions.
