Uzbekistan and Slovenia expand cooperation on labor migration

The Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Hungary (Budapest) Oybek Shahavdinov held talks with the Minister of Labor, Family, Social Affairs and Equal Opportunities of the country, Luka Mesec, in the capital of Slovenia, Ljubljana.

The meeting discussed issues of bilateral cooperation in the fields of labor relations, migration and social protection.

A new stage in the context of European Union-Central Asia cooperation

As the parties noted, the recent European Union-Central Asia summit opened the door to new opportunities in expanding relations between the two regions. This is an important stage, in particular, for strengthening cooperation in the areas of migration and labor.

Mutual interest: the Slovenian market needs Uzbek specialists

During the negotiations, the two countries paid attention to the issues of complementing the labor markets. The Slovenian side expressed its interest in Uzbek specialists for a number of sectors of the economy.

In this regard, the possibilities of signing an intergovernmental agreement, issues of social protection of workers, their employment and ensuring their rights were separately discussed.

The path is being opened for Uzbek specialists in Central Europe

Slovenia is one of the countries with a stable and inclusive labor policy among the EU member states. The fact that Uzbekistan is establishing labor relations with this country is an important step not only in the economic sphere, but also in the field of human capital.
