
Today, May 1, a fire broke out at the Sintepon production workshop in the Yakkasaroy small industrial zone, located on Kushbegi Street, Yakkasaroy district, Tashkent city.
The Fire and Rescue Department was notified of this at 07:01. Accordingly, fire and rescue crews arrived at the scene at 07:04, the fire was contained at 07:45, and extinguished at 08:09.
According to the Fire and Rescue Department, after the fire was extinguished, the bodies of two citizens were discovered during the examination of the scene. In addition, 5 citizens were sent to the hospital with injuries.
The fire is believed to have been caused by a technological process failure in production.
11 basic and 6 special firefighting equipment were involved in extinguishing the fire. As a result of the fire, the roof, ceiling and products of the workshop on an area of approximately 700 sq.m. were damaged.
Preliminary investigation into this incident is underway. The leadership of the Fire Department, the head of the Tashkent city Fire Department and the heads of the district Fire Department, as well as responsible officers of the Internal Affairs Department, the State Security Service, and the prosecutor's office arrived at the scene.
