40 professions in which students can work have been announced
In Uzbekistan, light work has been identified that will allow school and college students to work in their free time outside of school. A draft resolution developed by the Ministry of Poverty Reduction and Employment approved a list of 40 professions and types of work.

This list was compiled based on the Labor Code and the principles of not harming the health of students and the educational process. This list will create the opportunity for students studying in general secondary, secondary specialized and vocational educational institutions to work legally.

According to it, students can work as waiters, sellers, hairdressers, members of peasant farms, manual packers, loaders and other light work.

Limitations on lifting:
  • For students aged 16–18, lifting and carrying work is limited to loads weighing no more than 4.1 kg;
  • For those under 16, boys are allowed to carry loads weighing no more than 6.5 kg and girls 3.5 kg;
  • They should also not be involved in carrying loads using trolleys and strollers.

The resolution states that under 18s should not be involved in work with dangerous and harmful working conditions under any circumstances.

The Zamin.uz editorial office recognizes that this initiative aims to establish young people's interest in work on a legal basis and help them in their personal development. What do you think about this list? What professions should be added or removed?
