Crocodile Kept at Home Exposed in Tashkent
An unusual incident was reported in Uzbekistan’s capital, Tashkent — a local resident was found keeping a dangerous animal, a Nile crocodile, at home. This was announced in an official statement by the Ministry of Ecology, Environmental Protection and Climate Change.

According to the information, the citizen had been illegally keeping one Nile crocodile at his residence. After the incident was identified by the relevant authorities, an administrative report was filed against the violator under Article 92-1, Part 1 of the Administrative Responsibility Code.

Environmental inspectors reported that all related documents were compiled and submitted to the court for legal assessment and further action.

In order to ensure public safety, the crocodile was handed over to the Tashkent Zoo. Authorities have arranged special care and observation conditions for the animal.

Ecological experts are warning the public to refrain from illegally keeping wild or exotic animals. Such actions not only break the law but also pose a serious threat to human safety.
