Deputy khokim of Farish district caught with bribe

During the search operations conducted by the State Security Service in the direction of combating corruption, the illegal actions of an official of the authority were exposed.

According to the press service of the State Security Service, the deputy khokim of the Farish district of the Jizzakh region, taking advantage of his official position, demanded 30 thousand US dollars for not returning 204 hectares of irrigated land, which was won through auctions by an LLC specializing in the agricultural sector in June of this year, to the district khokim's reserve and for guiding the free use of this land in the future.

He said that he should pay 20 thousand dollars first, and the remaining 10 thousand after the harvest.

The deputy khokim was caught with material evidence while receiving 20 thousand dollars of the requested money in his official car.

In this case, a criminal case was initiated against this official under Article 168, Part 4, Subparagraph "a" and Article 211, Part 3, Subparagraph "a" of the Criminal Code, and a precautionary measure of arrest was applied.
