The construction of New Tashkent was laid in 2023. As of today, the first buildings have already risen. For construction, 19,700 hectares of land were allocated from Yukari Chirchik and Urta Chirchik districts. The concept of the project was developed by the UK company “Cross-works”.
At the first stage, buildings will be constructed on an area of 6,000 hectares, creating modern conditions for 600,000 residents. When the project is fully completed, it will become a space for 2 million people.
These figures show how large the construction scale is in the region. Infrastructure should be high-quality and long-term. Therefore, currently, underground engineering networks of the city are being built.
In particular, single- and double-section collectors are being laid. Through them, centralized heating and water pipelines, electricity, telecommunications, and other engineering networks will pass. Also, tunnels and underground parking lots are being built for the free movement of transport.
In each project, modern approaches, comprehensive solutions, and greenery are considered. In particular, an environmentally friendly transport system will be organized. Metro and electric bus movements will be coordinated. Wide conveniences are created for pedestrians and cyclists for unobstructed and safe movement.
Administrative buildings for more than 60 state agencies will be constructed in the area. Currently, more than ten ministries and agencies have started activities in temporary facilities on this territory.
The Head of State was provided with information about projects planned in the near future.
Many local and foreign investors are showing interest in the city. Currently, investment agreements worth 554 million dollars have been concluded for 13 commercial lots sold at auction.
Hotels and restaurants, buildings with unique designs will be built here, which will provide high-quality services to visitors and turn the city into a tourist center.
During the construction process, employment for 160,000 people will be ensured. In the future, the city will have tens of thousands of permanent high-income jobs based on innovative technology. For this, new education and medical clusters, IT services, and technoparks will be created.
The President gave recommendations on attracting investments to projects, organizing recreation areas, and providing services conveniently.
