The head of state's visit has begun with the aim of bringing the economic and social potential of the Fergana region to a new level. It is no coincidence that the ancient and eternally young city of Kokand was chosen as the first destination of the visit. The new residential complex rising here is becoming a true gift for the city's residents. Zamin.uz shares the details of these construction processes.
A New Face of Modern Urban Planning
Improving the living standards of the population and rebuilding regions based on modern architecture has become a priority of state policy. The «Yangi Oʻzbekiston» massifs are among the largest social initiatives in this regard. This complex being built in the city of Kokand is not just a collection of comfortable homes, but is becoming a new center driving the socio-economic development of the region.
Why Kokand?
Kokand has long been a center of craftsmanship and entrepreneurship, and is one of the most densely populated areas. Therefore, the demand for modern housing in the city is high. The new massif, replacing outdated buildings, has become the most optimal solution for expanding the city and updating infrastructure. The instructions given two years ago are bearing fruit today, becoming a destination of happiness for thousands of families.
Figures and Opportunities: Integrated Infrastructure
The state spent 1 trillion 850 billion soums on the construction of the massif. All conditions are being created here not only for living, but also for working and recreation:
An integrated complex with a capacity for 25,000 people;
84 multi-story buildings;
Modern educational institutions and kindergartens;
A higher education institution and business centers.
Citizens living here will have the opportunity to receive quality education, use commercial services, and enjoy cultural leisure near their homes.
First Phase Completed: More Than 4,000 Families Moved In
To date, the first part of the project has been fully completed, and 56 ten-story buildings containing 4,394 apartments have been commissioned. The terms for purchasing the homes are also quite favorable for the population:
35 percent down payment;
An annual preferential rate of 16 percent;
Provided on a credit basis for a term of 20 years.
Meeting Between the President and Elders
The head of state visited one of the new apartments and inspected the conditions created. He then held a heartfelt conversation with the elders of Fergana. The elders expressed their gratitude, specifically noting that such noble works carried out on the principle of a social state are strengthening the prosperity and stability of the country.
During the visit, Shavkat Mirziyoyev also familiarized himself with the second phase of the massif and plans for the future development of the city of Kokand.
