It was reported that since the beginning of the year, more than 6 thousand passengers who traveled in Tashkent without paying for public transport have been subjected to administrative penalties. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Transport.
According to the report, special raids are being conducted in the capital to eliminate the practice of passengers traveling without tickets. Inspectors of the Transport Supervision Inspectorate and the State Institution for Monitoring and Control of Public Transport of the city of Tashkent are participating in the events.
According to reports, during the past period of this year, administrative proceedings were initiated against 6,182 passengers, and they were punished in the prescribed manner.
According to the legislation, more precisely, according to paragraph 5 of Article 144 of the Code of Administrative Responsibility, driving without paying for travel on city or suburban buses is punishable by a fine of one-tenth of the basic calculated value - 41,200 soums.
Officials said that raids will continue on a regular basis, and passengers are urged to follow the rules. This is expected not only to ensure the rule of law, but also to establish justice and transparency in the public transport system.
