With the assistance of the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Pakistan, compatriot H.E., who became a victim of human trafficking, was returned to the Motherland, reports “Dunyo” agency.
It is reported that in 2018 our compatriot went to Lahore under the pretext of working in a salon. However, there she was deceived and sold by unknown persons into a brothel.
Therefore, H.E. appealed to the Embassy of Uzbekistan requesting help to return home. The staff of the diplomatic mission provided her with consular and legal assistance, prepared the necessary documents, and issued a certificate of return.
As a result of negotiations with the relevant Pakistani authorities, she was exempted from liability related to violations of stay regulations, and her deportation without fines was ensured.
With the support of the Embassy of Uzbekistan and the Migration Agency, an air ticket was purchased for our compatriot, and on September 27 she was returned to the Motherland by the “Uzbekistan Airways” flight “Islamabad–Tashkent.”
It was emphasized that protecting the rights and interests of citizens abroad and providing them with comprehensive assistance is one of the priorities of our country’s foreign policy.
