According to the National Statistics Committee, the number of trips abroad has significantly increased this year. The report states that in the first eight months of 2025, the number of Uzbek citizens traveling abroad reached 5.1 million. This figure is nearly 1.1 million, or 26.8 percent higher than during the same period last year.

Experts note that in recent years, tourism culture in the country has expanded, and interest in foreign destinations continues to grow. Travel purposes vary — pilgrimage, work, leisure, or education.

Below is the list of the top 10 countries most visited by Uzbeks in the first eight months of 2025:

  1. Kyrgyzstan — 2.3 million visitors;

  2. Kazakhstan — 956 thousand;

  3. Tajikistan — 887.9 thousand;

  4. Russia — 312.7 thousand;

  5. Turkey — 181.7 thousand;

  6. Saudi Arabia — 165.7 thousand;

  7. UAE — 94.2 thousand;

  8. Egypt — 45.4 thousand;

  9. Vietnam — 28.5 thousand;

  10. China — 27.6 thousand.

Additionally, 162.4 thousand citizens visited other countries.

Analysts emphasize that trips to Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, and Tajikistan are mainly related to work and trade, while destinations such as Turkey, Egypt, and the UAE are chosen for leisure and tourism. Saudi Arabia remains a traditional pilgrimage destination.

This growth in tourism indicates not only rising economic activity but also the increasing curiosity of citizens about the world, as well as the expansion of cultural exchange and travel habits.

Thus, Uzbeks, through their journeys abroad, are not only exploring new destinations but also bringing home new knowledge and experiences.
