A man was punished in Fergana for an inappropriate proposition


In the So'x district of Fergana region, the local court sentenced a man accused of sexually harassing a woman. This was reported by the "Nemolchi.uz" project, which fights against violence towards women and children in Uzbekistan.

The incident occurred on October 23, 2025. 23-year-old U.

Yu. met an acquaintance at the market and offered to give her a ride home.

On the way, the man made inappropriate remarks to the woman, commented on her appearance, and pressured her. During the court hearing U.

Yu. fully admitted his guilt, expressed regret for his actions, and asked the court for a lighter sentence.

On October 24, the So'x District Criminal Court considered the case and, according to Article 41-1 (Sexual harassment) of the Code of Administrative Liability of the Republic of Uzbekistan, found the man guilty of committing an administrative offense and sentenced him to 5 days of administrative detention.
