The trial regarding the traffic accident that resulted in the death of four members of one family in Fergana region has concluded. In this case, a 25-year-old driver was found guilty.
The tragedy occurred in the “Shohimardonobod” neighborhood of Fergana district. The driver of a Nexia car exceeded the permitted speed and, violating traffic rules, crossed into the oncoming lane, carrying out a dangerous overtaking maneuver.
As a result, there was a head-on collision with a Tico car in the oncoming lane. The Tico driver died at the scene.
The woman and two underage children in the car sustained severe injuries and, despite all doctors' efforts, passed away in the hospital. The perpetrator of the accident survived.
The court found the driver guilty of violating traffic rules and causing the deaths of people, sentencing him to eight years in prison. In addition, he was deprived of the right to drive vehicles for three years.
Furthermore, according to the court's decision, the driver must pay compensation in the amount of 100 million soums to the families of the victims.
