An interesting and at the same time very serious tragedy that occurred in the Bulungur district of the Samarkand region continues to be discussed by the public. Under pressure from a prevention inspector, the teenager went so far as to commit suicide and set fire to his body. Despite several months of treatment, he passed away.
According to relatives of the deceased, the inspector's threats of "imprisonment" and various psychological pressures greatly frightened the young man. Family members confirmed this situation with video evidence.
According to the court documents, the prevention inspector I.Kh. demanded money from his family while searching for the minor, and also behaved contrary to official regulations.
The Payaryk District Criminal Court found I.Kh. guilty under the articles of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan on fraud and official negligence. The court sentenced him to 2 years and 6 months of imprisonment with deprivation of the right to work in the internal affairs bodies for 2 years.
