In Tashkent, a car owner discovered that their vehicle, left at a car wash, had been stolen. According to the press service of the capital’s Department of Internal Affairs, the individual had left their car at a car wash located in the Olmazor neighborhood of the Shaykhontohur district. Upon returning the next morning to collect the vehicle, it was found missing.
The owner stated that they regularly used this particular car wash. Unable to locate the car, they alerted the authorities by calling “102.” Rapid investigative efforts revealed that the crime had been carried out by an employee of the car wash named Ilhom.
Law enforcement officers from the Tashkent police department conducted swift operations and located the Malibu vehicle in the Chilanzar district with the assistance of traffic patrol officers.
The suspect, Ilhom, expressed regret for his actions, stating, “I did not realize that taking someone else’s car and driving it was a crime.” A criminal case has been initiated regarding the incident.
