Measures were taken regarding an employee who served in the internal affairs system, the Ministry of Internal Affairs press service reported. This was reported by upl.uzreports.
In Andijan region, a citizen contacted law enforcement and said that an active internal affairs officer studying in the same course demanded 2.7 million soums and promised to “resolve” his academic problems.
Based on the complaint, Internal Security Department officers detained the suspect while he was receiving 2.7 million soums. During the pre-investigation check, he also said that part of the money had to be given to a university manager.
Soon after, it was reported that the university manager was also detained while receiving 2.5 million soums.
A pre-investigation review is currently underway. The internal affairs officer has been dismissed from his position.
