In Tashkent, a man who attacked a girl in an underpass and snatched her phone was detained

In Tashkent, a man suspected of attacking a girl in an underground passage and robbing her has been detained. The capital’s Main Department of Internal Affairs press service reported this. This was reported by podrobno.uzreports.

The incident occurred on December 21, 2025, at 21:20 (Tashkent time) in an underground passage located on Amir Temur Street in the Mirabad district. A citizen born in 2004 was leaving the passage when an unknown man attacked her, used physical force, took her mobile phone worth about $500, and fled the scene.

During оперативно-search measures, the suspect’s identity was established: he turned out to be previously convicted Madumarov Otabek Ohunjon o‘g‘li, born in 1999. He had previously been held liable under Article 169 of the Criminal Code (theft).

A criminal case was opened under Article 164 of the Criminal Code (robbery). A preventive measure in the form of detention has been applied to the suspect; the investigation is ongoing.

The city’s Main Department of Internal Affairs asked citizens who may have suffered from this person’s illegal actions to call 71 206-42-54 or the short number 102 and provide information.
