Those spreading false claims about unrest in Kokand punished

According to the press service of the Fergana Region Department of Internal Affairs, individuals who spread false information about alleged mass unrest in Kokand on New Year’s night have been identified. This was reported by upl.uzreports.
Law enforcement agencies conducted an inquiry into videos and messages circulating on social media. The investigation found that four citizens blocked traffic, used various pyrotechnic devices, and turned it into a “show” with loud shouting. They recorded the incident, posted it on their Instagram pages, and sent it to acquaintances via Telegram, presenting it as mass unrest in the city.
Administrative reports were drawn up against the offenders under the Administrative Liability Code articles on “petty hooliganism,” “illegal circulation of pyrotechnic devices,” and “spreading false information.” They were sentenced to 10 days of administrative detention.
