On Thailand’s Phuket island, a 37-year-old Uzbek citizen was detained on suspicion of sexually molesting a 16-year-old girl. He could face up to 10 years in prison. This was reported by podrobno.uz. reports .
According to The Phuket News, the incident occurred on January 11 at 22:20 (Tashkent time) at the Golden Cat restaurant in the Mai Khao area. The suspect blocked the path of a 16-year-old local girl as she was leaving the restroom, forced her back inside, and touched her breasts.
After the girl screamed, restaurant patrons rushed over and held the man until police arrived. He was then taken to law enforcement authorities.
It is noted that Thai law strictly punishes indecent acts against minors. Under current regulations, touching without mutual consent is considered a serious crime and may be punished by up to 10 years in prison.
