In Tashkent, a young man who asked about buying a weapon was placed in a psychiatric hospital

A video spread on social media showing an unknown person displaying an image of a weapon to citizens and asking where it could be bought. The Tashkent City Main Department of Internal Affairs provided official information regarding the situation.
It is reported that on February 14, on Taras Shevchenko Street in the Mirabad district, S.M., born in 2006 and with a mental disorder, showed an image of a weapon on his mobile phone and asked people around where it could be purchased. After that, he left the scene.
Regarding the incident, a pre-investigation check was carried out by the Mirabad district IIO FMB. During the check, the citizen was identified and placed in a psychiatric and neurological diseases hospital. It was reported that the final decision would be made in accordance with the legislation.
It was also written on social networks that this person threatened to organize a shooting at a school and “kill 100 people.” Some witnesses reported that he was heading toward School No. 60.
