Official caught taking bribes in Tashkent Region

The State Security Service has uncovered a series of corruption-related violations in the Tashkent Region and the Republic of Karakalpakstan.
It is reported that a methodologist from the district Department of Preschool and School Education in the Tashkent Region demanded 1.5 million soums to prepare a permit for a citizen wishing to open a private kindergarten, as well as 200 US dollars to secure a positive fire safety report. The individual was caught red-handed while receiving the money.
During the operational measures, a senior inspector from the district Emergency Situations Department involved in the case was also apprehended while accepting a 200-dollar bribe.
At the same time, a woman living in the Chimbay District was caught while receiving 7 million soums after promising another citizen to artificially increase their work experience for pension purposes. It was determined that she planned to resolve the matter through her son, who works at the ministry.
Currently, criminal cases have been initiated regarding all incidents, and investigative actions are underway.
