How much tax did 6 bloggers pay on billions in income in 2025?

In Uzbekistan, the income and tax activities of popular bloggers with millions of followers on social media have been analyzed. At a meeting held at the Tax Committee with bloggers, it was announced that six top bloggers with over 3 million subscribers earned a total of 2.7 billion soums during 2025.
According to official reports, they paid 110.4 million soums in taxes to the budget. It was found that these bloggers posted 360 stories and 184 advertising posts over the year. This shows that the advertising market and blogging are becoming increasingly significant sources of income.
The committee examined the 110 most active representatives in the field. According to the analysis, 55 of them operate as self-employed individuals, 33 as individual entrepreneurs, and 22 are registered as ordinary individuals.
Officials noted that despite the growth in income and scale of operations for some bloggers, they are still using simplified forms of activity. It was also noted that some content creators are hiring administrators, assistants, and other specialists.
During the meeting, explanations were provided regarding the taxation of advertising revenue, the formalization of income, and compliance with legal requirements. At the same time, a proposal was made to organize special training seminars for bloggers to improve their legal literacy.
Representatives of the Tax Committee emphasized the importance of ensuring financial transparency in blogging, formalizing advertisements, and regulating the industry on a legal basis. Future plans include introducing a system for labeling online advertising and blogging content.
