The traditional Tata Steel Chess 2025 chess tournament continues in the Netherlands. Two chess players from Uzbekistan are fighting for the victory in the tournament.

Yesterday, January 29, in the 10th round, Nodirbek Abdusattorov, who is among the leaders of the Masters group, defeated Serbian Aleksej Sarana, playing with white pieces. The chess player had not lost in the tournament so far. After this victory, Abdusattorov increased his points to 7 and is in second place in the tournament standings.

Nodirbek Yakubboev (2659), who is playing in the Challenger group, reached a compromise with the white pieces of the Dutchman Benjamin Bock in the 10th round. Yakubboev is ranked 9th in the tournament standings with 5 points from 3 wins, 4 draws and 3 losses.

Czech Van Nguyen leads the Challenger group with 7.5 points. Erwin Lamy from the Netherlands took second place with 7 points, while Aydin Suleimanli from Azerbaijan completed the top three with 6.5 points. Benjamin Bock also has 6.5 points.
