World Cup winner calls Khusanov a "nightmare"
Former Arsenal, Barcelona, Chelsea, and France international Emmanuel Petit has praised Manchester City's new Uzbek signing, Abdukodir Khusanov, after his debut goal for the club, reports Vesti.kz.

Petit had been following Khusanov since his time at Lens and is well aware of the defender’s playing style and strengths.

"Abdukodir is very fast, tough, and strong in duels. He is a nightmare for strikers.

His key strengths are physical battles, movement awareness, and speed. This guy plays with such intensity! He wants to crush everyone on the pitch because he comes from a poor country, from a tough background," Petit told MEN.

The 1998 World Cup champion also stated that City should judge Khusanov more by his second game (against Leyton Orient) than his first one against Chelsea.

It should be noted that Khusanov came on in the second half against Leyton Orient in the FA Cup and scored his first goal for Manchester City just 11 minutes later.
