
The Asian Judo Championship is in full swing in the capital of Thailand, Bangkok. Today was of particular importance for Uzbek athletes. On this day, our compatriots took to the mat, achieving excellent results and bringing home 1 gold and 2 bronze medals for our national team.
The most outstanding result of the competition was recorded by Shakhram Akhadov, who competed in the -73 kg weight category. Our experienced judoka defeated all his rivals on his way and won the title of Asian champion. Thus, Shakhram added another prestigious award to his rich collection of medals.
Our representatives also managed to climb the podium among the girls. Shukurjon Aminova, who competed in the -57 kg weight category, won a bronze medal, contributing to Uzbekistan's medal tally. Among men, Arslon Tojiev successfully participated in the -81 kg weight category, took third place and won a bronze medal.
So far, the Uzbekistan national team has been participating in the Asian Championships with dignity and is confident that it will win even more awards in the near future. The championship continues, and our judokas still have opportunities for new victories.
