The cooperation between Portuguese head coach of Pakhtakor, Pedro Moreira, and the club did not last long. The specialist said goodbye to the club, and former team manager Kamoliddin Tojiev will temporarily take over his duties.
Recall that Pedro Moreira took charge of the "Lions" on December 4 last year. Under his leadership, the team played a total of 14 official matches. In half of these games, that is, 7 matches, the team secured victories, while in the other seven they lost to their opponents.
During his tenure, Moreira tried to introduce a modern playing style to the club, but the results were inconsistent and lacked stability. The team's domestic championship performances might not have fully satisfied the management and fans. Thus, the Portuguese coach's first experience in Uzbek football ended after a short period.
Currently, Pakhtakor's management is actively searching for a new head coach and considering various options. It is expected that the club will soon announce the name of the new specialist.
For the time being, former head coach Kamoliddin Tojiev has been temporarily assigned coaching duties. He has successfully managed the team before and enjoys respect within the club.
Fans of the club hope that with the arrival of a new coach, the team's results will improve, allowing them to continue competing for the championship. Especially relevant remains the question of how this coaching change will affect the team in the middle of the season. Read 'Zamin' on Telegram!
