The Spain-France match turned into a "goal festival"!
The UEFA Nations League semi-final between Spain and France was a spectacular and dramatic affair. The match was a “goal festival” with nine goals scored.

The Spaniards won 5-4 in a hard-fought match to book their place in the final. France will now face Germany in the third-place play-off.

In this match, France forward Kylian Mbappe once again cemented his place in the team’s history. He provided a brilliant pass to teammate Ryan Cherki, becoming the player with the most assists in the history of the French national team.

Cherki’s goal was Kylian’s 31st international assist for the national team. With this, he surpassed Antoine Griezmann to become the record holder.

In football circles, this is being described as a “reversal of the baton”. Considering that the 26-year-old Mbappe has many more years to play for the national team, his records are expected to be broken many more times.

Football fans would like to see more such spectacular performances and individual records, of course.
