Spain’s famous football club — Real Madrid — has strengthened its squad with another young and talented player. The Madrid side has officially signed 17-year-old Franco Mastantuono, a rising star from Argentina’s River Plate.
According to renowned sports journalist César Luis Merlo, Franco successfully passed his medical for Real and signed a long-term contract valid until 2031. In addition, the “Royal Club” fully activated the release clause in his contract, which was set at 45 million euros.
However, Mastantuono will remain with his former team — River Plate — for a few more months. He will take part in the Club World Cup and only join Real Madrid’s camp after the tournament ends, that is, after August 15. It’s worth noting that he will have just turned 18 by that date.
Experts highly rate Franco’s technique, speed, and football IQ. He is expected to play a central role in Real Madrid’s long-term projects.
This transfer once again confirms Real Madrid’s strategy of investing in young talents. Fans are eagerly waiting to see how Mastantuono will shine at Santiago Bernabéu. Read 'Zamin' on Telegram!
