A major sports festival - the Koresh Belt Wrestling World Championship 2025 tournament - took place in the Russian city of Kazan. The strongest belt wrestling masters from different countries demonstrated their skills at this prestigious competition. Our athletes, who defended the honor of Uzbekistan, showed their inherent zeal and perseverance and managed to take the highest place in the overall team standings.
Our compatriots achieved high results in each weight category of the tournament:
- Abdumalikov Nodirbek in the 65 kg weight category,
- Anvarov Samandar in the 75 kg weight category,
- Mashrapov Ilhomjon in the 85 kg weight category,
- Ruziev Husniddin in the 100 kg weight category,
- Anvarjonov Azamjon in the +100 kg weight category
showed high skills in the difficult and responsible belt wrestling competitions and took the championship podium.
Especially in the final stage of the tournament, the great superiority of Uzbek wrestlers in terms of mental endurance, technique and strategy of belt wrestling was clearly evident. They demonstrated not only personal skill, but also team spirit, unity and thirst for victory.
According to the results of the competition, Uzbek athletes were awarded the winner's cup and medals. This result once again confirms not only the development of our country's belt wrestling school, but also the growing prestige and potential of our athletes in the world arena.
