Real Madrid sets new record for Spanish clubs
Real Madrid set a new record for Spanish clubs by playing the most games in a season in the Club World Cup quarter-final match against Borussia Dortmund, reported Euro-football.ru.

In this match, Real Madrid played their 67th game of the season. The previous record, held since 2002, was 66 matches.

Additionally, this record is expected to be updated on July 9 when Real Madrid faces PSG in the semi-finals. If Madrid reaches the final, they will have the opportunity to break their own record by playing another match.

The match ended 3–2 in favor of the Spanish side, with three of the four goals being scored in extra time.

One of Real Madrid’s players was sent off during the match. In another quarter-final, PSG defeated Bayern Munich 2–0.
