Husanov did not sign the Real Madrid T-shirt

Abduqodir Husanov’s action during a fan meeting in Tashkent sparked major discussions on social media. During his visit to the capital of Uzbekistan as part of FIFA Days, he signed autographs and took photos with fans. However, the footballer declined to sign a Real Madrid T-shirt.

This gesture was warmly received by Manchester City fans. They respected Husanov’s position and their admiration for him only grew stronger.

It is worth noting that the 21-year-old central defender made his debut for City in January 2024 against Chelsea, becoming the first Uzbek footballer to play in the Premier League. His performance in England quickly gained widespread attention.

Abduqodir Husanov was transferred to Manchester City from French club Lens at the end of the winter transfer window for €33.6 million including bonuses. Since then, he has played in the starting lineup against top teams like Real Madrid, Liverpool, and Tottenham.
