One of England’s leading clubs, “Manchester City”, whose coaching staff had been contemplating an important issue for some time, has found a clear solution, reported theathletic.com.
The point is that the “Citizens” were searching for a worthy backup for their main goalkeeper, Ederson. This task was considered especially important for the club and had become one of the most attentively addressed matters.
According to The Athletic, the Manchester club has reached an agreement with “Burnley” to bring back to the team the talented goalkeeper James Trafford, a product of their own academy. Interestingly, in 2023, “City” sold Trafford to “Burnley” for 14 million pounds.
Now, “Manchester City” has paid almost double — 27 million pounds — to bring the 22-year-old goalkeeper back to the squad. This decision is being seen as a serious step to increase competition in the main lineup and ensure uninterrupted success in the future.
