As is known, from July 30 to August 12, the city of Bangkok, Thailand, is hosting the Asian Championship for youth and junior boxers under the age of 22. On this prestigious continental stage, our national athletes achieved worthy results in the latest day of competition.
Today, members of our U-22 national team entered the ring in their respective weight categories and confidently defeated all their opponents.
. In the 48 kg category, Robiya Bakhtiyorova secured a confident 5:0 victory over Ofelia Magno of the Philippines.
. At 51 kg, Gulsevar Ganieva dominated India's Devika Gorpade with a 5:0 score.
. In the 57 kg weight class, Khumorabonu Mamajonova narrowly defeated Kazakhstan's Viktoriya Baidukova with a 3:2 result.
. At 50 kg, Behruz Kholdorov overcame Indian boxer Vishwanath Suresh 3:1.
. In the 55 kg division, Samandar Olimov left no chance for Kazakhstan’s Beksultan Boranbek — 5:0.
. At 60 kg, Shohruh Abdumalikov confidently beat Indra Sunar of Nepal — 5:0.
. In the 65 kg class, Sayat Ilyasov defeated China’s Ming Chen with a clean 5:0 win.
. At 70 kg, Muhammadazizbek Ismoilov overcame South Korea’s Gyubin Park by unanimous decision — 5:0.
These results once again demonstrate that our boxers are in excellent physical shape and are moving forward confidently toward their goals. These victories continue to bring pride and joy to our nation and strengthen our Olympic hopes.
