Today is an important day for the Andijon team – the draw will determine the club's opponents in the AFC Champions League 2 tournament. Before the competition starts, the club's press service took short comments from several key players and shared their expectations with the fans.
Sardor Azimov: "We have no pressure, ready for any opponent"
According to experienced defender Sardor Azimov, since Andijon is participating in this tournament for the first time, the team feels no extra pressure:
— Regardless of who is in our group, we will face them on the field. Our main goal is a respectable performance and making our fans happy. God willing, we will give our all to advance from the group. If we face strong teams – it will be an experience, if we get equal rivals – we will fight until the end, said Azimov.
Sunnatilloh Hamidjonov: "We will make the most of this opportunity"
Young and talented midfielder Sunnatilloh Hamidjonov also shared his opinion:
— No matter which team we get, our goal is clear – to achieve good results and delight our fans with victories. This tournament is being held for the first time in our club’s history, and we are ready to play with all our skills. Because we don’t know if we will get such an opportunity again. In this tournament there are no weak teams, each is strong in its own way. I think we might get “Al-Wasl”, “Al-Muharraq” or “Al-Hiddiya”, but we will know for sure after the draw, said Hamidjonov.
Eldor Adhamov: "Playing against famous clubs is a great honor"
Forward Eldor Adhamov was straightforward:
— It doesn’t matter which team we face. If it’s a more convenient opponent – good, but playing against big-name clubs like “Al-Nassr” is also enjoyable. If we act wholeheartedly, we can achieve our set goal. The main thing is to make our fans happy, he stressed.
The Andijon team, before the start of the tournament, is determined to give their all on the field, regardless of the opponent. Fans are eagerly awaiting the draw results and the team’s performance in AFC CL 2.
