Following the Super League Round 19 match between Navbahor and Neftchi (0:1), the head coach of the Fergana club, Vitaliy Levchenko, attended the press conference and gave detailed answers to journalists’ questions.
According to him, the match was held in a very intense and exciting atmosphere:
— Today there was a real football atmosphere on the pitch. A huge number of fans came to the stadium. The match against Navbahor was tough, the opponent showed great resistance. Nevertheless, we managed to secure an important victory. I congratulate all our players and the coaching staff. But the championship is not over yet, we still have a lot of work to do.
The coach also spoke about the foreign players:
— We work in such a way that no one in the team is singled out. Both local and foreign players are provided with a healthy environment. We make sure they feel comfortable and free. The most important thing is competition, and it makes players stronger. Whoever is ready and stronger goes out onto the pitch.
Answering a question about Neftchi’s chances of winning the title, Levchenko said:
— When we step onto the pitch, we don’t just play football. We fight with every opponent with all our strength. As for becoming champions, time will tell.
He also emphasized the support of fans in the valley:
— If I had to rate the level of fan support on a 10-point scale, I would easily give the highest score. The three valley clubs — Andijan, Navbahor, and Neftchi — truly have amazing supporters. The biggest, most loyal, and most passionate fans are right here. They deserve full respect.
In conclusion, Levchenko stressed that Neftchi’s victory over Navbahor was an important step for the team. According to him, they underestimate no opponent, give their all in every match, and aim to go all the way until the end of the championship.
